My Visitor Booking
With the My Visitor Booking Add-On for Google Workspace™ , you can seamlessly book and manage visits directly from Google Calendar™ . After installing the add-on, you can use it in the desktop web browser (Google Calendar™ ).
TDS Visitor integration
My Visitor Booking Add-On is used to allow users of the TDS Visitor system to book visits directly from their Google Calendar™ . TDS Visitor system provides security access control for the guests that visit the user's company premises.
My Visitor Booking Add-On creates/edits Google Calendar™ events and keeps them in sync with TDS Visitor by connecting to our API server using the IdentityToken and sending the calendar event and visitor information coming from the Add-On. It also populates the Visitor Details using your Google Account Contacts, Domain Directory Contacts, and Other Contacts.
Prerequisites for installing and using My Visitor Booking for Google Workspace™ Add On
- A host account in TDS Visitor system
- A Google account (The email address linked to your TDS Visitor account must be the same)
How to use the My Visitor Booking for Google Workspace™ add-on
Sign in to the My Visitor Booking for Google Workspace™ Add-On
- Use a web browser to sign in to Google Calendar™.
- In the right-side panel, click the My Visitor Booking for Google Workspace™ icon.
- If prompted, click Authorise Access and follow the on-screen instructions to allow My Visitor Booking to access your Google account.
My Visitor Booking for Google Workspace™ add-on Oauth Consent Screen
This app accesses and uses the following scopes from your Google Workspace™ account:
- See your profile info: To see your primary Google™ Account email address.
- See and download contact info automatically saved in your 'Other contacts': To see details of your 'Other contacts': details may include the names, phone numbers and addresses and profile picture, when adding visitors to the TDS Visit. 'Other contacts' are contacts that are not in a contact group, they are typically auto created contacts from interactions.
- See and download your contacts: To see your contacts details: Your contacts may include the names, phone numbers and addresses and profile picture, when adding visitors to the TDS Visit.
- Run as a Calendar add-on: Run this application as an add-on in Google Calendar™. The add-on can be executed and has access to basic event metadata (e.g. calendar ID, event ID).
- View and edit events on all of your calendars: To view and edit your calendar events as part of visit registration, when booking a visit from an existing calendar event to get the event details: organiser, title, start date and time, end date and time and guest list and to update the calendar event after booking the visit to identify the calendar event as a TDS Visitor visit by adding the check icon to the title and the TDS registered Visit Unique Identifier will be stored in the Google Calendar™ Event Private Extended Properties.
- See and download any calendar that you can access using your Google Calendar™: To see your personal calendar and to see events on your personal calendar and on other calendars that you can access, in order to book visits in TDS Visitor.
- See and download your organisation's G Suite directory: To see details of the contacts in your domain directory: details may include the names, phone numbers and addresses and profile picture, when adding visitors to the TDS Visit. Domain contacts are the contacts in the authenticated user's domain directory.
- Connect to an external service: To connect to TDS Visitor system to send and retrieve information relevant to the visit booking process and to save the visit details.
- View your country, language and time zone: As part of visit registration guarantee the visit is registered accordingly based on your current location and your TDS Visitor settings.

Book a Visit in TDS Visitor from Google Calendar™. From an existing Google Calendar™ event:
- Use a web browser to sign in to Google Calendar™.
- Click on the My Visitor Booking for Google Workspace™ icon to open the Add On. The My Visitor Booking for Google Workspace™ Add On will be visible on the right-side panel
- Click on the Google Calendar™ Event you want to register as a visit.
- The details from your Google Calendar™ Event are imported into the My Visitor Booking for Google Workspace™ Add On on the right-side panel.
- Enter the additional information required for your visit: Collection point, visitor workflow and reason.
- It is necessary to validate details for each guest by clicking on the "edit" icon next to the email address. Click on the “Fetch details from Google” button to get the details associated to that email address from your Google Contacts™ ( Contacts, Company directory and Other contacts) if available. Enter contact information manually if not found, and any other additional details required, then press Save. Each Guest that has been validated will show a check icon.
- Still on the right-side panel, once all the details for the visit have been entered click on the “Book Visit” button at the bottom to register the visit in TDS Visitor.
- When the visit is registered, a confirmation message will be displayed, a check icon will appear before the title on the Google Calendar™ event, and the TDS registered Visit Unique Identifier will be stored in the Google Calendar™ event Private Extended Properties. This is to link the Google Calendar™ Event with the TDS Visit, and also to identify the events that have been registered as visits.
Book a visit directly from the My Visitor Booking for Google Workspace™ Add On:
- Use a web browser to sign in to Google Calendar™.
- Click on the My Visitor Booking for Google Workspace™ icon to open the Add On. The My Visitor Booking for Google Workspace™ Add On will be visible on the right-side panel. The following steps will take place on the right-side panel.
- Click on the “Book Visit” button.
- Enter the visit details such as title, start date and time, end date and time, collection point, visitor workflow and reason.
- Click on the “Add Contacts” button and enter the email address or name of the contact to be added, then click on the Search button, this will search in your Google Contacts™ ( Contacts, Company directory and Other contacts). If a contact is found click on the contact to add it to the “Contacts to add” list, and repeat the search process to continue adding any additional contacts. If there is no match in your Google Contacts™, the details can be added manually. Once the list is completed click on the “Add Contacts” button.
- Once all the details for the Visit have been entered, click on the “Book Visit” button at the bottom to register the visit in TDS Visitor system.
